Dr. Dwight Burlingame is professor emeritus of philanthropic studies, former Glenn Family Chair in Philanthropy and senior advisor for faculty development at Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
He was a long-time member of the AFP Research Council and is an active member of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action and the International Society for Third-Sector Research.
For 30 years, he was editor of the Philanthropic and Nonprofit Studies book series for the Indiana University Press and received the Rosso Medal for lifetime achievement in ethical fundraising.
