J.D. has been president of The Memorial Foundation since its inception in 1994 and has helped the foundation contribute over $132 million to nonprofit organizations. He was previously president of Nashville Memorial Hospital. J.D. serves on numerous boards in Middle Tennessee and beyond. He earned degrees from both Austin Peay University and Northwestern University. He and his wife Anita are active in their church and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
