Stanley Weinstein, EMBA, ACFRE
Stanley is the retired founding director of Best Chance, an organization dedicated to serving the diverse needs of recently released prisoners.
He has spent 55 years in the nonprofit sector. As a distinguished consultant and the president of Stanley Weinstein & Co., he has provided services for more than 300 nonprofit organizations nationwide. Stanley’s campaigns have resulted in numerous major gifts ranging from $50,000 to $50 million. In 2006, he was named AFP’s “Outstanding Fundraising Professional.”
In addition to “The Complete Guide to Fundraising Management,” Stanley is the author of “Capital Campaigns from the Ground Up.” The fourth edition of “The Complete Guide” was released by John Wiley & Sons in 2017.
Stanley also devotes a limited amount of time to coaching a select few clients. Building on his rich life in diverse realms – principal clarinet in a major symphony orchestra; executive director of several arts organizations; founder and developer of a national consulting firm; international award-winning fundraiser; abundantly successful personal life; service on national and international boards – Stanley has developed an innovative approach to helping others find their path to success and fulfillment.
Dr. Pamela Barden, DBA, CFRE
Now of counsel to Lighthouse Counsel, Pamela has amassed more than 45 years of nonprofit experience. As president of PJ Barden Inc., she counseled nonprofits, helping them develop their fundraising strategies and writing copy to achieve their goals. She previously taught fundraising courses in the Master of Public Administration program at the University of La Verne in La Verne, California, and the Fundraising Certification Program at UCLA Extension.
Pamela is a former vice president at Russ Reid. Before that, she led fundraising efforts for nonprofit organizations such as World Relief and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, getting hands-on experience in everything from direct mail to DRTV, from major gift solicitation to event management.
Pamela is the recipient of a Silver ECHO Award from the Direct Marketing Association, winner of a Gold Award for Fundraising Excellence and a Distinguished Instructor Award from UCLA Extension. She is also the author or hundreds of articles for fundraising publications.
The most frequently heard quote by and from Pamela is what she has told clients and students alike for many years because, as a fundraiser, she knows it’s true: “I am not the target audience.”
